• NIJ 0106.01 / NIJ 0108.01 (USA)
  The standards of the U.S. National Institute of Justice (NIJ) are the most widely used worldwide. They define the following protection levels:

  • IIA, II, IIIA – designed to protect against handgun rounds, including 9x19 mm FMJ, .357 SIG, and .44 Magnum.

• STANAG 2920 (NATO)
  Used to evaluate protection against fragments. The V50 value represents the velocity at which 50% of fragments penetrate the helmet. For modern models, this value is typically 600–700 m/s, equivalent to fragments from mines and artillery shells.

• VPAM (Europe)
